Every citizen deserves a voice that cannot be ignored. As a Ward Advisor, you are the trained local bridge between an everyday civic problem and the department responsible for fixing it.
A Ward Advisor is a trained, verified PMA community volunteer — not a government officer, not the police, not a BBMP/GBA official, not an elected representative, and not a lawyer. It is an unpaid volunteer role, recognised with a verification badge and training.
Role
Three pillars of civic service — mentor, document, and know your ward.
Guide citizens through the complaint process and help them understand their rights under the Karnataka Sakala Services Act, 2011. Be the trusted voice that says, “I'll help you navigate this.”
Help citizens turn a verbal grievance into a clear, documented record, using plain-language information about the BBMP Act and the Sakala Services Act.
Be a trusted source of hyper-local civic knowledge — know your ward's responsible departments, officials, and public-service contacts.
Coverage
Our long-term goal is trained Ward Advisor coverage across all 369 wards of the Greater Bengaluru Authority — one Ward Advisor per ward, onboarded over time. Until a ward has its own advisor, that ward's complaints go to a central PMA queue, so no resident is left without a route.
